ASTHO, in collaboration with the CDC, invites you to participate in the next session of a new training and technical assistance opportunity, Project ECHO: Overdose Fatality Investigation Techniques (OD-FIT).
The purpose of this opportunity is to train coroners and medical examiners on investigating and completing the death certificate for drug overdose deaths through a virtual hub and spoke model known as ECHO (additional info in links). Sessions include a didactic presentation followed by a review and discussion about cases submitted by participants.
Our next session will be on May 25th at 3:00 PM ET (12 PM PT). Interested coroners and medical examiners can register for that session here . We offer free CEU/CME credits (1.5 ABMDI credit hours for CEU or 1.5 MedChi credit hours for CME) to registered participants only and case examples can be submitted here . We encourage all participants to submit overdose case examples using this form by close of business on Wednesday, May 19th.
Please feel free to share this broadly with coroners and/or medical examiners in your state, and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you so much!
